Winemaker's Comments: 2005 Justin Cabernet Sauvignon
Heavy winter rain gave the vines plenty of water. Bud break was slightly delayed, but the rest of the growing season was jump started by a warm summer. Most vines threw a heavy crop load, which forced us to thin out the vines to achieve proper balance. The Summer stayed warm, and Fall was moderate, averaging a high of 88 degrees. Our strict viticultural practices and crop reductions allowed us to acheieve ripe flavors, phenolics, and tannins in an unusually high yielding, moderate temperature year.

Pure Varietal Goodness
We initially tasted this beauty straight - no filet mignon, no grilled meats, none of the accompaniments touted as must-haves with Cab Sav. This wine simply shined, and when we paired it with some aged cheeses it was off-the-chain good. Chewy, tannin rich, and full of spice and dried fruit, you're going to love this bottle.
