Winemaker's Comments: 2005 Little Black Dress (LBD) Vineyards Chardonnay
Tropical fruits and soft oak. A Chardonnay that's classic and timeless... like your little black dress.

Who's Afraid of Little Black Dress?
As this wine is clearly marketed to women, I feel a little sheepish writing this. But hey, I'm a big kid now, so if we have a bottle of LBD in the wine fridge who am I to object to a glass of it?
Ovary-centric marketing aside, the Little Black Dress really is a tasty Chardonnay. It has a great fruity flavor (melon and peach) and a really good mouth feel. Things take a minor turn for the worse on the finish, which was too bitter for my taste, but perhaps that's just built-in as a reason to take another sip.
